Paul Harris Fellow's

Goes to Terry Ellington, Joanne Trefethen and Jeri Wigdahl!

We present Charlie Ellington as a Honorary Member

As we voted Charlie Ellington in as an Honorary Member of North Pole Rotary Club today, I thought I would provide the following information from the Manual of Procedure on Honorary Membership. I think we all agree Charlie has definitely distinguished himself accordingly with our club! Michelle, I've completed a form for Charlie and will send your way. Michelle will also order Charlie a badge. Here's to our first Honorary Member, and very deservedly so!
Section 6 — Honorary Membership.

(b) Rights and Privileges. Honorary members shall be exempt from the payment of admission fees and dues, shall have no vote, and shall not be eligible to hold any office in this club. Such members shall not hold classifications, but shall be entitled to attend all meetings and enjoy all the other privileges of this club. No honorary member of this club is entitled to any rights and privileges in any other club, except for the right to visit other clubs without being the guest of a Rotarian.

Margarita Bell Awarded Paul Harris Fellow

Last year Margarita Bell received her Paul Harris Fellow, but never received her three emblems of a Paul Harris Fellow: the certificate, pin and medallion. We corrected that at the June 4th meeting. Congratulations Margarita and thank you for supporting the Foundation. The gentleman on the left is past North Pole Rotarian and president of our club, Ed Ruff. Ed is visiting Alaska for his annual summer/fall fishing and hunting trip.

June 6th 1230pm

Pamela Harrison announced at Rotary today she will be at City Hall to begin planting at our Larry Swenson Memorial Rose Garden beginning around 12:30P THIS Friday, June 6. If you have time and can come help, that would be wonderful. Shouldn't take too long. Thanks to Pamela for planning, purchasing and planting the garden! And thank you Joanne, for your donation of wild roses. Past Rotarian Larry Swenson loved roses and chaired our rose sale for several years.

If you're so inclined, Hazel Rosendahl of the North Pole Gardening Club has been at City Hall these past evenings and will be there Friday night as well and would appreciate any help you'd like to give them.
